Senator Sorvaag was elected to the North Dakota Senate in 2010. He represents District 45 which includes North part of Fargo, North part of West Fargo, and North Cass County.. Senator Sorvaag is a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, during this interim is Vice-Chairman of Legacy Fund Earnings Committee, a member of Re-Districting, Government Finance, Water Topics Overview, Budget Section and Water Drainage Committees. He holds a BA degree in Sociology from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN. Past Member Board of Directors Prosper Farmers Elevator, Past commissioner for the Fargo Park District. Senator Sorvaag grew up at Argusville, ND and farmed there from 1976 thru 1999. Ron and his wife Carla own a small business, First Choice Apparel & Embroidery in Fargo.
